The Snake Plant Or Cobra Lily

Arisaema  speciosum

A plant, the flower of which looks like a cobra head with its tongue out tasting the air for its prey.

Like the name,by look and  nature its  carnivorous ( luring the insects by its nectar).

It has an unusual adaptation of changing sex based on nutrition. these plants are typically male when small and female or hermaphrodite when large.

These are dangerous to insects and harmful to humans if eaten as it contains calcium oxalate crystals that can cause swelling and irritation.
