Rose Hip
Rose, a plant known universally. Every single person living on this earth must have seen a rose plant and its flower.
It is considered as the symbol of love,charmed by its fragrance and colors.
But,lately I came to know that many of my friends haven't seen the fruits of these beautiful blooms.
It was little surprising for me bcoz it is the plant found every corner of this world,in wild , in houses offices ad used in almost all occasions/festivals. But still not seen the fruits!!! maybe they think that it is not of any use for them as the flowers.
Like all angiosperms ,they also produce fruits which are red to orange in colour(in some species its dark purple to black).
These are called rose hips, rose hew /,rose hep.
They are usually formed in spring or summer and ripe in late summer.
Rose hips are rich in vitamin c and has medicinal importance.
They are used for herbal teas ,jams ,jelly,beverages.
The oil extracted from rose hips is used in creams ,perfumes ,moisturisers for scar treatment, sun burns and for glowing skin. This oil is found to have rejuvenating and nourishing properties.
And ya girls if you want strong nails use this oil.
So start loving these fruits as much as their flowers.
